Christian Believers Church History

The Christian Believers Church traces its origins back to 2009, founded by Pastor Allen Brown and his wife Melissa. Their journey began in Delaware Water Gap, where they felt divinely inspired to establish the church March 2009. For the initial years, from 2009 to 2011, the church was nestled in this Delaware location, fostering a close-knit community of faith.

Over the years, the Christian Believers Church has been a nomadic congregation, moving to a few locations across the Poconos. Despite its itinerant nature, the church maintained a small group of members. In a significant turn of events, as of March 2024, the church found its way back to the Glenwood property where it started, now known as Glenwood inn. This return marks a full-circle moment for the congregation and lays the foundation for the church's future vision.

Looking ahead, the Christian Believers Church, under Pastor Allen Brown’s guidance, aims to permanently acquire the Glenwood property. The vision extends beyond merely owning the land; it includes developing a retreat business that aligns with the church’s mission. This business endeavor seeks to create a sanctuary for peace, inspiration, and community support, underpinned by God's blessings and guidance. The church's journey, from its inception to its current aspirations, reflects a deep commitment to serving and nurturing a spiritual community in line with God’s directive.
